Snooker coaching by Brian Cox
Brian has over 25 years of professional experience including four years on the tour, reaching 218th in the world snooker rankings.
He is a former Amateur Cambs. county champion and England international.
Today Brian is a WPBSA, SightRight and 1st 4 Sport accredited coach. He has completed full safeguarding training and undergone a DBS check.
His former star pupils include the 2018 European amateur snooker champion Harvey Chandler, 2018 and 2021 U18 world pool champion and 2019 U23 8-ball pool world champion Luke Gilbert, and 2018 men’s world pool finalist Dom Cooney. Luke and Dom will be well-known to those who watch televised pool and Brian has more top amateur juniors and adults coming through his coaching stable.
A Surrey resident, Brian is a firm family man and keen West Ham United supporter.
Snooker support by academy manager Gareth White
Gareth trained as a journalist and ran a landscape gardening business before becoming a dedicated snooker entrepreneur.
He is a talented sportsman with the ability to reach professional standards. Once a former scratch handicap golfer, Gareth is now just two points short of his first snooker century. Watch this space!
Working towards coaching status under Brian’s guidance, Gareth will be developing the Academy’s youth and senior programmes. He is on hand to assist with the psychological side of the game as well as managing day-to-day operations.
Gareth is also a family man, living in Guildford, Surrey.
